What do you do when the machines take over? Listen, take a walk, dance or just relax? These four animated paintings look at machines in society and how they might influence our leisure time.
The titles are inspired by the 1967 film "Paperwork Explosion” by Jim Henson. A promotional film for IBM’s new Magnetic Tape Selectric Typewriter. In the film people proclaim
“Machines should work; people should think”
Now artificial intelligence has given this meaning a twist. Can we understand the machines and what do we do with our time?
