Vandalorum - film installation
I was commissioned by the ceramicist Masayoshi Oya and Vandalorum art and design museum to create an animated film to complement Masayoshi’s large solo exhibition. The 3 minute film takes its inspiration from the sounds of Masayoshi’s studio, his hand movements and the vibrant shapes and colours of his patterns. The film is a playful immersive journey into Masayoshi’s working process of material transformation. An audiovisual saga taking the viewer into a world of dancing colour and textures. All the sounds were recorded in his studio and the 3 minute animation is made up of over 3000 hand drawn and painted images.
